We would like to invite you to the 16th edition, which will take place from 6 to 8 October in Berlin at Fraunhofer FOKUS. Following the Plugfest, an HbbTV Testing Event of the HbbTV Association will take place at the same venue (8-10 October), to which we also invite you on behalf of the HbbTV Association.

The test focus of our Plugfest this time is again on HbbTV, streaming, immersive audio and DVB-I, as well as traditionally on UHD-HDR tests (HDMI®). As always, it is aimed at device manufacturers, broadcasters, technology providers, platform operators, research and development institutions and standardisation bodies.

Please note that participation in all events requires prior registration, and participation in the Plugfest requires signing our participant agreement, which guarantees strict confidentiality. In this context, we would like to point out that the HbbTV-related results of the Plugfest might be shared anonymously with the HbbTV Association.

The schedule of the events is planned as follows:

* DTVP/DTG/HbbTV members: free of charge, Non-members: participant fee
** HbbTV members only, no fee
*** HbbTV Testing Group members only

Please register for participation in one or both parts of the event through the short web form at https://tv-plattform.de/plugfest. There you will find the documents required for binding registration available for download: a detailed registration form and a participant agreement for the Plugfest. Due to the international nature of the event, all information and documents are provided in English. Please note that participation requires active involvement in the event; a purely observer role is not possible.

Please be aware of our deadlines:
Both the registration form and participant agreement must be submitted via email to the office at plugfest@tv-plattform.de by 5 September 2025. The participant agreement must be submitted with the digital signature of a duly authorised representative of the participating organisation.

Alternatively, the hand-signed agreement can be sent by post. In that case, please send the documents in advance via email to plugfest@tv-plattform.de.

We will successively publish further details about the event on the Plugfest website as soon as they are available.

Participation in the Plugfest is open to members of the organisers (Deutsche TV-Plattform, DTG UK or HbbTV Association) as well as companies outside these organisations – subject to a participation fee.

For content-related questions about the HbbTV Testing Event, please contact Nguyen thi Thanh Van, Samsung Electronics: van.nguyen@samsung.com

We look forward to another successful Plugfest and to your registration and particularly thank our partner Fraunhofer FOKUS for the renewed cooperation!
